20 Craft Beers on Tap
On a recent trip to Canada, Our Beer Flights visited Montréal, Quebec. Now most people in the United States know that Canadians love their beer, and there are lots of industrial beers in Canada that have been successful in the States. But just like here, Craft Brewers are taking things to the next level and switching up the flavours (sic) for the discerning customer.

One great place to visit and dine in downtown Montréal is Brasseur de Montréal (BDM).  They are located in the Griffintown area of Montreal, close to the canal and only a 15 minute walk from Old Montreal.  It's an industrial area for sure, but with a lot of charm to take in the city's beauty and the canals.

This working class neighborhood had the brewery here for years, but they have recently expanded next door to include a restaurant where they serve large portioned, traditional pub food that goes great with beer. In fact, a lot of the menu items include beer in their preparation.  And yes, they do have Poutine with lots of options.

Another plus - You can buy your beer here during office business hours.  They don't have Growlers yet (it's a Provincial law that has to be changed!), but you can buy a variety of 4 packs and 12 packs.

So sit back on your chesterfield (Canadian for couch) and watch Marc-André Gavreau talk about BDM and how the first Canadian Carbon Neutral Free Craft Brewery got started.  It will open your eyes to craft brewing the next time you're in Montréal.
